Teflon Roller Sleeves
For extreme industrial applications, Teflon shrink sleeves can be applied over rubber or bare metal rollers. Typically, Teflon is employed to either gain release or to protect the rubber from very high heat environments.
Teflon sleeves can be expensive, so having the proper equipment and craftsmen skilled in the correct installation techniques are paramount. Teflon, as designed, will resist adhering to most things so achieving a strong sleeve bond to the roller is very difficult. We have perfected techniques to accomplish this bond for the most demanding applications.
As an added service, we can finish grind the Teflon outside diameter after the sleeve has been installed for customers who require a specific finish, straightness, or TIR.
